most farms have bore holes drilled into the ground and they take water from the water table, different depths and quality of water depending on location and geology, its not a great idea as it takes much much longer to replace water into the water table than it does take it out, so will either have to drill very deep or it will run out eventually, but yes water drilled and pumped to the surface is what most places use, some direct and others pump it to storage ponds, cheers

100 yrs ago I had an E-ten with a yanmar motor (same). rather uncomfortable to drive with questionable suspension. Hand crank it up... tak.. tak.. tak-tak-tak-tak. Which reminds me of an old girlfriend whom used always want to tak tak. huh wut you talk about? she said it was like boom boom but buriram verbiage. Ok, made sense if you care to think about it.

Thanks a lot doe this nice video! My wife and I lived in Bangkok for 8 years. That again is 12 years ago as we are in Najomtien ever since. Our favourite Soi in Bangkok was Soi 8. There used to be a small bar next to the Pizza Place as well as the Soi 8 Pub. All gone. After we moved over here I sometimes stay at the Sawadee or Stable Lodge. The favourite pub is now in Sukhumvit 33/1. The O'Sheas. Fabulous. Go there and have a great time! The Manager is Jay. Great guy - great place - great food! Bests Frank

Congratulations on your business success. I have not found the experience pleasant searching by myself and have only ten days left before I return to America. That road looks familiar to me as I was visiting Pak Thong Chai in January. The trip seems to have cut 2 hours of driving time. I have maybe a month before I'm able to retire to Thailand.

The dozens of restaurants that used to be beside the reservoir must be furious.

We flew from Khon Kaen a few weeks ago. 45 minute flight, 2 return tickets were 4,500 thb. Parking was 150 thb per day at the airport and we used the train to get into the city 160 thb each Fuel cost would be around 2,800 thb. Not much in it really.

The Motorway opened last Xmas and I flew down it in Jan. saved at least 45 mins on the Roi Et to BKK drive.
